Dust Advisory Continues for PG

Thursday, March 31, 2016 @ 9:12 AM

Prince George, B.C.- The  dust advisory  remains in place in Prince George  as levels  of PM10 remain high.

The  hourly  concentration of PM10 is 42 micrograms per cubic meter while the rolling 24 hour concentration is 53 micrograms per cubic meter.  The provincial target is 50 micrograms per cubic metre.

Conditions will be re-evaluated during the day.

While the dust advisory is in place,  the City is offering free transit , until midnight of the day the advisory is cancelled

Yesterday, just after reading about the dust advisory, I was driving on Westwood. Up ahead it looked like a truck coming to a fast stop in the left turn lane in a big cloud of dust. When he turned, I saw that it was one of our street sweepers!
I guess he went up the street where it wasn’t watered down.

That’s why Kristy didn’t come here. She didn’t want to get lung disease like the rest of us PG plebes have to worry about.
