Prince George, B.C. – A record high temperature for Prince George today.
Environment Canada meteorologist Colin Tam says the temperature reached a high of 19.9 degrees, beating the previous high of 18.9 degrees set in 1930.
He says there’s a good chance another record will fall tomorrow with a high of 20 expected.
Tam says the record high for tomorrow is 18.9, which was set in 1941.
By Saturday though he expects temperatures to drop to the mid-teens.
Tam says to expect clouds and a chance of showers early next week.

I know I’m in the minority here, but if we don’t get a real winter soon, I’m gonna have to move up to the Yukon.
Move out to eastern Canada, still winter out there.
Damn that global warming. We must triple the carbon tax to get this straightened out.
So it took 86 years to break the record. Must have been warm back then as well. Hmmmmm.
Yup, that warm for just one day. How about January being the warmest MONTH on record, or how about February (last month) being the warmest February on record?
Every year, in almost every month, record highs are being reached, when was the last time we had a record cold day? or record cold month?
El Nino.

This website contains a lot of science, but it does demonstrate greenhouse warming being responsible for the increased frequency of extreme El Ninio events.

See it is warming up. I knew TRUDEAU had a plan??? That’s why he’s bringing over all those hot climate refugees…making them feel at home!!
“If they were honest, the climate alarmists would admit that they are not working feverishly to hold down global temperatures — they would acknowledge that they are instead consumed with the goal of holding down capitalism and establishing a global welfare state.
Have doubts? Then listen to the words of former United Nations climate official Ottmar Edenhofer:
“One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. This has almost nothing to do with the environmental policy anymore, with problems such as deforestation or the ozone hole,” said Edenhofer, who co-chaired the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change working group on Mitigation of Climate Change from 2008 to 2015.
So what is the goal of environmental policy?
“We redistribute de facto the world’s wealth by climate policy,” said Edenhofer.
For those who want to believe that maybe Edenhofer just misspoke and doesn’t really mean that, consider that a little more than five years ago he also said that “the next world climate summit in Cancun is actually an economy summit during which the distribution of the world’s resources will be negotiated.”

You talk about the redistribution of wealth as if it was a bad thing. The wealth gap is one of the primary causes of both interpersonal and international friction in this world (along with religion), so any policy that plans on reducing the gap is beneficial.
It depends on the degree of redistribution Krusty. Soviet style redistribution clearly doesn’t work. History has many examples of this failed theoretical utopia. Leaving a central government to take from the rich to give to the poor while ignoring the economic outcome never works in the longer term.
So you are happy with the some what 1.5 trillion each year spent on so called AGW in one form or the other. Just imagine if that money was spent on health issues, or reliable cheap energy to the billion or so with no electricity. Anybody die a painful death from cancer in your family? Think if more research was done one cancer just to name one disease.
I think it is the Liberals heating up the atmosphere with all their hot air. Higher temps mean we don’t use as much natural gas and more for Christy massive LNG projects.
Maybe all these IPP’s at $120.00 per MW are the real reason for the increase. Rumour has it one IPP was paid not to produce power.
I wonder back in 1930, they were worried about global warming.
You know, if this continues. Winter vacation in Prince George, is not that bad of a deal.
The bananatropolis of the NORTH.
