“We’re doing the final push with the teams that are out there or people that are thinking of putting in teams to jump online to relayforlife.ca/princegeorge.”
She says 110 teams and just over 900 participants have registered so far. “Which is pretty on par with where we were at this time last year.”
Cassie says 1,400 people registered for last year’s relay and would be happy if they hit 1,200 this year.
She says the numbers are needed to help Prince George defend it’s nickname as ‘Relay City’ as the number 1 Relay for Life in Canada
Last year’s relay brought in $519,000 with proceeds going towards cancer research and prevention and $127,000 has already been raised for this year’s event.
The Relay goes May 7-8 at Masich Place Stadium and will start at 10 a.m. on the Saturday and end at 10 a.m. on the Sunday.

let’s find a cure, or maybe we need to get out of the pharmacheuticals back pocket, and ramp up the efforts. I’m sure there is a cure, but the drug companies don’t want us to use it.
