Drug Busts Net Six
Prince George, B.C. – Six people are facing possible charges following two drug busts in Prince George Thursday.
RCMP Corporal Craig Douglass says the arrests followed the execution of search warrants at two rental properties on Upland Street.
He says one of the busts, located on the 1800 block of Upland, led to the seizure of meth, cocaine, heroin along with drug trafficking paraphernalia. A 24 year old man and a 43 year man were both arrested at the scene.
Douglass says the other bust occured at a residence located on the 2100 Block of Upland where four peope were arrested – two 29 year old men, an 18 year old man and a 31 year old woman.
The search there yielded heroin, ammunition and various firearm parts.
All six suspects have been released pending further investigation. Douglass says police have executed six drug related search warrants in the area since the beginning of the year.
“In each case the accused person occupying the residences were tenants with little regard for the property or the neighourhood,” he says. “In each case the landlords were either absent, inattentive or delinquent in monitoring and maintaining their property.”
In light of these arrests, Douglass asks anyone aware of illegal drug activity in the Prince George area to contact police.
No names have been released.
