Quesnel Student Takes Top Honours in Provincial Skills Competition
Prince George, B.C. – A student from Correlieu Secondary School in Quesnel won the Provincial skills competition in cabinetry and is now eligible for the National competition set for June in Moncton New Brunswick.
Avery Bell was among three students from the region to win at the Regional Skills Competition held at the College of New Caledonia in Prince George last month ( see previous story). The competition has students completing a project within a certain time frame.
That win, made him eligible for the Provincial round which took place in Abbotsford. Again, Avery took top spot.

Two other students from Prince George – Angela Harkins, CNC Professional Cook student, and Laura Parent, Kelly Road student – competed in the Culinary Arts category of the Provincial skills competition as well.
“We are extremely proud of these students’ accomplishments,” said CNC Dean of Trades and Technologies, Frank Rossi. “While some of them are not CNC students, they still represented our city and region, and did an amazing job. We wish Avery the best of luck at Nationals and we hope to see all of our competitors return to the regional competition in January.”

It would be nice if you went back to linking the smaller pic to a larger version. Why was that practice stopped?
Way to go Avery Bell. Keep up the trade, keep learning.
