BC Hydro Continues Working to Restore Power
Prince George, B.C.- There are two power outages in the Prince George region, but neither is impacting more than 5 customers. One outage is on Fraser Road, the other on Buckhorn Lake road. The real challenge is in areas west and north of Prince George.
In Northern B.C., there are nearly 3500 customers without service as a result of yesterday’s wind storm that ripped through the Highway 16 corridor and in areas in the northeast.
Crews continue to work throughout the day to restore those outages from yesterday’s wind storm.
BC Hydro says 2100 customers north of Fort St John will remain out of power until late this afternoon due to a transmission outage. Areas affected are Prespatou/Milligan Creek/Charlie Lake/Montney and Upper Halfway.
