Prince George, B.C. – They bounced, they sang, they petted little animals, they hung out with Ironman, and while having fun, spent the day getting some exercise.
It’s the Healthy Kids Day at Canada Games Plaza, a free event to get kids on the path to activity and healthy living.

Ironman delivered a message to the young folk, telling them to “Keep training and stay fit”.
Studies show that most children (91%) don’t get the amount of daily activity they need, and on average spend 8 hours of “screen time” each day.
Studies also show 35% of parents don’t think their 6-12 year old gets enough physicial activity per week and many parents are having a difficult time leading a healthy and active life.
This is the 9th annual Healthy Kids Day held by the YMCA in Prince George.
The goal of the day is to share information with the community about healthy habits and make them aware of what’s available to keep healthy and active in the community year round.
