Prince George, BC.- A special visitor to the Prince George Airport today as a North American SNJ-4 Texan made a fuel stop.
This World War II plane was used by the US Navy as an advanced trainer, although the model was also used as a trainer for the Amy and Royal Air Forces.
According to the Smithsonian Institution, “more than 40 countries acquired this remarkable aircraft over a production run that started in 1935 and did not end until the 1950s, including modifications”.
The two seater fixed wing craft is on its way to Fairbanks Alaska via Dease Lake and Whitehorse.
