Prince George, B.C. – Police are asking motorists to avoid the John Hart Bridge at this time.

The northbound lanes of the Hart bridge are closed to all traffic in the wake of a police incident currently in progress.  An officer on site says a person had been threatening to jump from the bridge.

Traffic which had been heading north has been turned around and headed back to 5^th Avenue.

We will advise you when the northbound lanes have been re-opened.
