CNC Celebrates Convocation at CN Centre

Prince George, B.C. – Years of hard work was finally realized for over 200 College of New Caledonia students at CN Centre this afternoon.
Graduates from a number of programs accepted their certificates, diplomas or associate’s degrees at today’s convocation ceremony.
Highlights included the presentation of the Governor General’s Academic Collegiate Bronze Medal, the Lieutenant Governor’s Silver Medal and the Mary John Award of Excellence.

The Governor General’s Academic Collegiate Bronze Medal went to Alyssa Fatum. It is awarded to the student who achieves the highest overall average upon graduating from a diploma-level program.
The Lieutenant Governor’s Silver Medal – which is awarded to a student in a vocational or career program who has excelled in his or her studies and has contributed to the life of their post-secondary institution of their community – went to Danica Bruintjes.
Finally, the Mary John Award of Excellence is presented annually to a CNC student who strives to live with dignity while serving others and their community and went to Vanessa Miller.
Said CNC president Henry Reiser of all the students: “These students have worked extremely hard to get here, and we are very proud to seem them cross the stage.”
CNC students in Quesnel will hold their convocation ceremony June 10th.
