It’s National Health and Fitness Day
Prince George, B.C. – Today marks the second annual National Health and Fitness Day in Canada and several activities are planned in Prince George to help residents work on their physical fitness.
PacificSport Northern BC has teamed up with the City of Prince George and the YMCA of Northern BC to host a series of free events at various locations throughout the City. Trained coaches and instructors will be leading 8 different events throughout the day including:
Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park Bandshell
Running Clinic (ages 13+) 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
Zumba (all ages) 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Yoga in the Park (all ages) 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
OVERHang Climbing Gym (2601 RecPlace Dr.)
Rock Climbing (ages 6+) 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Forest of the Worlds (Cranbrook Hill Entrance)
Family Nature Walk (all ages, registration required) 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. & 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Charles Jago Northern Sport Centre (3333 University Way)
Squash (all ages) 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Kaiten Mixed Martial Arts Academy and Fitness (185 Dominion St.)
Mixed Martial Arts (all ages, registration required) 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
YMCA of Northern BC (2020 Massey Dr.)
Jiujitsu (ages 13+, registration required) 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
