Thursday, June 9, 2016 @ 5:45 AM

Prince George, B.C. – The Walk to Fight Arthritis takes place in Prince George this Sunday at Rainbow Park.

Registration starts at noon with the walk starting at 1:00 p.m. You can also register online at walktofightarthritis.ca.

All proceeds will go towards education, services and research to help find a cure.

There will be two route options: 1K and 5K. People are invited to come with family and friends or make a team and walk or run. Dogs are welcome too.

According to the Arthritis Society, there are over 650,000 children and adults in BC and the Yukon who are living with arthritis (4.6 million in Canada).

Arthritis doesn’t discriminate based on age – it can affect anyone at anytime. In fact, three in five people are of working age.

It is also the leading cause of disability in Canada.
