Who knows what a Gordie Howe “hat trick” was?
one goal, one assist and a fight
Local Radio News Reader during his broadcast says Gordie Howe has “Kicked the Bucket” — This is something 2 guys say to each other at a BBQ — not on the airways — SHOW SOME RESPECT.
Two sports legends dead within a week of each other, very sad. As well known as Mohamed Ali was, to me the news of Gordie Howe passing has much more of an emotional impact. RIP MR. HOCKEY, the world is somewhat lessened without you.
oneofakind. I imagine it was Hartley Miller. No class.
Mr. Howe was my hockey idol growing up, always my favourite NHL star, with Bobby Hull a close second (his slapshot, oh my)
In minor hockey it was always a fight with the other kids to get to wear the #9 jersey. To us, the best players in the NHL wore #9.
I got to see Mr. Howe play in his later years at a double header weekend in Edmonton. Whalers vs. Oilers, and Jets vs. Oilers.
Gordie Howe and Bobby Hull, live, in the same week end, Wow!.
Re: the comment about a news reader and the bucket, hell yes, show some respect, for anyone, not just celebrities.
metalman.
Another human kicked the bucket. Hmmm. Don’t see that every day.
