Home Invasion in Williams Lake
Williams Lake, B.C. – One person is in hospital, and RCMP in Williams Lake are hoping the public can provide more information on a home invasion in that community.
Around 4:15 this morning, Williams Lake RCMP received a report from a 46 year old man who was at the local hospital and was reporting that he had been assaulted and robbed.
Information provided to police was that sometime around 3:30 in the morning, 3 unknown suspects entered his home in the 1600 block of Signal Point Road, assaulted him, tied him up, and robbed him of an undisclosed amount of cash and a black Gibson’s electric guitar in a black case, valued at $3000.
The only information the victim could provide to police is that one of the suspects was possibly 6’ tall and around 180 pounds, all three subjects wore balaclavas, and one of the suspects was referred to as Dustin or Justin.
The motive for the robbery is not yet known but police believe the suspects may have been looking for firearms as it appears the suspect may have known the victim owned a gun safe, but all that was inside was the guitar and cash.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding this robbery to contact them at 250-392-6211 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (tips).
