City closes all sport fields
Wednesday, June 15, 2016 @ 2:09 PM
The City of Prince George is closing all civic baseball and soccer fields effective immediately and until further notice out of concern for public safety and the increased possibility of turf damage while the ground is over-saturated.
City Park staff have inspected and assessed the condition of City Sports fields and made the decision after rainfall resulted in soaked turf and areas of standing water.
Staff will inspect the fields again Thursday (June 16) afternoon to determine whether the fields can again be made available to the public.

Good call,
only for a couple days.
Guys and Gals, going into the bush, please be careful. The mud slinging you do now, lasts for decades in the alpine meadows. I don’t think you have the right to do that.
“We do not inherit the earth from our parents, we borrow it from our children”
A very important Motto to live by, when you look at your kids and grandkids.
I enjoy riding my 4 wheeler out in the bush. It really ticks me off when morons feel the need to rip up pristine Meadows and alpine areas.
If you like to wheel….stick to the trails.
