Firearm Amnesty Announced
Prince George, B.C.- The Province has announced October will be the month residents can turn in unwanted fierarms, weapons or ammunition as a month long amnesty will be in place.
From October 1st through to the 31, registered, or unregistered firearms, including restricted and prohibited items, can be turned over to police without repercussions, as long as the items have not been used in any criminal activity.
Those who want to take advantage of this opportunity, are asked to contact the local detachment of the RCMP on the non emergency line, and make arrangements for officers to pick up the materials, Under no circumstances should anyone deliver these items to the detachment.
Firearms and ammunition surrendered during the amnesty will be destroyed.
The last firearms amnesty in BC ( in 2013) saw 44 unwanted firearms turned over to Prince George RCMP, and 1800 unwanted firearms and weapons turned in provincewide.

Okay bad guys, you can turn in your firearms now.
For anybody that had unwanted firearms they should be able to turn them in any time of the year.
This makes absolutely no sense to me!!
Waste of time! AND resources.
Talk about stupid! There are many Firearms Safety Instuctors that need more guns to teach safety. What is more important? All firearms turned over to the RCMP must be destroyed. What a waste when they could be used to save lives.
Anyone that doesn’t want their firearms can message me and I will pay you for the ones you wish to get rid of.
