Prince George, B.C. – Highway 16 west is closed to all traffic in the wake of a motor vehicle accident.

Details are not available as RCMP and emergency personnel remain at the scene of the accident.

The highway is closed in both directions at Swanson Road in Vanderhoof, with a  local detour in place.

The number of people and vehicles involved is not known at this time.
