Homicide on the Homestead
Prince George, B.C. – It’s sure to be a weekend of intrigue at Huble Homestead.
The third ‘Homicide on the Homestead’ murder mystery is scheduled at the well known historic site just north of Prince George.
“So we have 31 characters who are going to be joining us,” says operations manager Krystal Leason.

“The premise is that a businessman has decided to move to Toronto and he’s having a farewell party for his friends and his enemies and the people are coming to see where they’re going, to settle some scores and maybe get paid. So there’s going to be all kinds of scheming and back dealing and drama going on between these characters.”
She says prizes will be awarded for correctly guessing the murderer, for the best dressed participant and for best actor.
Leason says the event has proved so popular it sold-out in record time this year.
“I think people just like the chance to be silly, be somebody else in a different time period,” she says.
“You get to wear some fun clothes, cause as much drama as you want – you don’t get to do that in normal life usually. And you walk around an historic site and stir the pot with all these different people.”
Leason says they only hold the event once a year because of all the hard work that goes into them but says it will be back next year.
