Prince George, B.C.- A year long investigation by the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of drug traffickers in the Peace Region has resulted in several arrests, charges against dozens more and one conviction, but the search for more than a dozen other suspects continues.
The probe , called E-Paradise, started in July of 2015, and through the execution of five search warrants and a number of traffic stops, officers seized cash, cocaine, fentanyl, percocets, and firearms, including an AR15.
In total the seizures yielded:
• One .22 calibre rifle
• One loaded 12 gauge shotgun
• One AR15 semi-automatic rifle
• 74 ounces of Cocaine
• Approximately 700 fentanyl Pills/Capsules
• 3.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine
• 17.4 grams of an amphetamine
• Two percocets
• 1.75 litres of liquid GHB
• Approximately $70,000.00
37 year old Jamie Christopher St.Denis of Dawson Creek is among those arrested. He pleaded guilty to charges of trafficking cocaine, trafficking a firearm and possession of an illegal firearm, He has been sentenced to 7.5 years in jail.
14 other people are still at large and investigators are making efforts to locate and arrest them.
CFSEU Chief Superintendent Kevin Hackett says this investigation has links in Williams Lake and the lower mainland.
