Prince George, B.C. – University Way in Prince George is closed  from 5 this morning  until 10 tonight to allow the Slip ‘n Slide event  to take place.

Tis fundraising event for the YMCA of Northern BC  requires the installation of a 1,000 foot water slide on  the top of  the hill on University Way.   So,  there will be no  vehicle traffic allowed along that route until  after 10 tonight.

Transit will be offering a shuttle service  to the  University  from 15th and Foothills Boulevard, but  it also means  alternate routes for  transit.  ( see map below, or click on map for larger version)

Those attending the event are  asked to approach the  top of the hill from Tyner Boulevard and to park at  UNBC.   Because parking is limited,  those attending the event are  encouraged to car pool when possible.
