Prince George, B.C. – The gay community of Prince George is partying all weekend in celebration of their lifestyle, the highlight, of course, being today’s Pride Parade downtown.
Festivities kicked off Friday night at the Pride Drag Show at the Coast Inn of the North. They continue with today’s Pride Day Festival and Parade, running from 11 am to 12:30 pm in the vicinity of City Hall. The Pride Dance goes from 7 to 11 pm tonight, again at the Coast Inn. And the Pride Brunch, same location, will be held from 9 am to 12 noon Sunday.
As for the parade, below is the route map.
The parade starts at 11 am at Veteran’s Plaza, heads along George Street to 3rd Avenue, up 3rd to Brunswick, then over to 9thth, through Canada Games Plaza to 7th and back to the grounds of City Hall for the Pride festival there, running from 10 am to 4 pm.
It’s all a go, rain or shine.
