Woof. Woof. PG Hosts Annual Dog Show
Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George Kennel Club is hosting its annual dog show this weekend behind the Nechako Public Market.
Breeds of all shapes and sizes and their owners from all across Western Canada have made the trek says Kennel Club treasurer Helen Chupa.
“It’s a three-day show and actually this year we have two shows a day so there’s six total. We bring judges in from right across Canada to judge dogs according to a standard for each breed.”
She says the show is sanctioned by the Canadian Kennel Club and features 175 dogs a day.
Jennie Ferdey and her six-year-old Great Dane Willow make the trip down from Dawson Creek annually.
“Yeah, we come to this show every year, we love it here. It’s a really nice show.”
