Canada Post Talks Continue

Prince George, B.C. – Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers, continue to talk.
The wo sides have been in talks since early this month when Canada Post withdrew its 72 hour strike notice.
A brief update from Canada Post indicates that while they are talking, with the support of mediators, there won’t be any updates on specific issues at the table, “unless there are significant developments”.
The goal is to reach a negotiated settlement. Canada Post is open to sending the matter to binding arbitration should talks break down, but CUP-W has balked at that idea.
While the contract talks continue, the postal service continues operating.
