Royals Coming to BC
Prince George, B.C.- William and Kate are coming to B.C. this fall, but just where the Royals plan to visit remains to be seen.
It has been announced the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will tour both B.C. and the Yukon this fall in what will be their second visit to Canada.
Premier Christy Clark is delighted with the news “”British Columbia is pleased to hear the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen to highlight British Columbia on their Royal Tour this fall. Like the Olympics, Women’s World Cup, Expo 86 and other international events, the Royal Tour will focus global attention on B.C. and showcase everything British Columbians take pride in, from our unmatched natural beauty to our thriving, diverse communities.”
There has been no word yet on if the couple’s children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, will accompany their parents on this tour.
When Prince George was born, former Mayor of Prince George, Sheri Green, had issued an invitation to the Royals to visit this city.
Details of the visit will become available in the months leading up to their arrival.

I hope they come to Prince George too. I hear it’s nice there in November. :) With any luck they will stay away from my little town.

Who really cares – they do nothing but cost us money
Royalty = humans like the rest of us with a family history using violence/manipulation to trick other humans to believe they are somehow more special allowing them to get a food hold on power and wealth!
I vote to honor Tradition.It is how we come to realize who we are and where we are at.
What a stupid waste of our money. We should get rid of the monarchy.
Without Royalty, we would have no Pomp and Pageantry. Can you imagine a life without it.??

Hopefully they come before the second or third week of September, before the leaves fall, if they are coming for scenery. They won’t be disappointed by the Yukon in any event though.

One of the richest families in the world. Nice of them to take the time out of their busy schedule to grace us with their presence. “AT OUR EXPENSE”
Any expense associated with the monarchy in Canada is miniscule compared to what it would cost us if we replaced it. Past Royal visits have been a great tourist draw. Americans in particular seem to take a greater interest in viewing members of the Royal family than even many Canadians. Maybe they’re just a little envious of what we’ve still got and their country hasn’t.
