Police Identify Human Remains Found in Quesnel
Quesnel, B.C. – The Quesnel RCMP has confirmed the identity of the human remains found last weekend near the Pinnacles Provincial Park in Quesnel.
Police say the remains, which were found on July 23rd, are those of missing person Barbara Ann Smith.
Smith was reported missing on July 3, 2016 and was last seen on June 28, 2016. She was 47-years-old.
“RCMP investigators are continuing to assist the BC Coroners Service with their investigation into Ms. Smith’s death,” says Corporal Dan Moskaluk. “At this time RCMP investigators have not found any evidence to suggest criminality being a factor in her death. At this time, no determination has been made with regards to the cause of her death.”
