Renos for McBride Seniors Residence
McBride, B.C. – There is good news for the seniors who live at Beaverview Lodge in McBride.
There are renovations on the way for the 41 year old building on 5th Avenue in McBride.
The Province, ( which owns the building) will be spending nearly a million dollars to replace the roof, install new windows and exterior doors, and a new building envelope.
Beaverview Lodge provides 19 self contained units for independent seniors. The building also includes common areas and an outdoor patio.
Prince George-Valemount MLA Shirley Bond says while the work is underway,” we are having very constructive discussions with BC Housing and the community about what other seniors housing options may be needed in the years ahead.”
Work on Beaveriew Lodge is slated to start in early August and be completed by the end of November. Residents will not have to leave their units while the renovations are underway.
