Most Will Watch at Least Some of the Olympics
Prince George, B.C. – Canada wrapped up the weekend at the Olympics in Rio with two medals, both courtesy of members of the women’s swim team.
16 year old Penny Oleksiak of Toronto won silver in the women’s 100 metre butterfly last evening, and picked up a bronze on Saturday along with her team mates in the women’s 4×100 metre freestyle relay.
250News wanted to know if all the bad publicity surrounding the Rio games was impacting your plans to watch the Olympics.
Of the 789 votes cast in our unscientific poll, most (62%) said they would be watching at least some of the Games.
300 indicated they were totally turned off and would not watch (38%) .
293 said they would only watch certain sports that interest them (37%)
100 indicated they wanted to see as much competition as possible, (13%)
73 said they would only watch events which have Canadian athletes (9%), while 23 (3%)said they would only watch the opening and/or closing ceremonies.
