Library and Theatre NorthWest Team Up

Sunday, August 14, 2016 @ 6:45 AM

Prince George, B.C. – Theatre NorthWest has teamed up with the Prince George Public Library (PGPL) to help its season pass holders explore the themes presented in its plays this upcoming season.

PGPL librarians, in collaboration with Theatre NorthWests’s artistic director Jack Grinhaus, will provide recommendations of fiction, non-fiction, DVD’s and other materials that may enrich the audience’s experience of the performances.

“This partnership is one of many ways that the library is reaching out to people outside of our physical branches,” says communications coordinator Amy Dhanjal.

“PGPL librarians have put together some great recommendations that expand on the themes in Theatre NorthWest’s plays this season. Likewise, a library patron who sees the list of recommended materials may decide to check out one of Theatre NorthWest’s productions if they enjoyed the recommended titles that accompany that play.”

The recommendations will be available on the library’s website and in Theatre NorthWest’s programs for each play.

Theatre NorthWest’s 2016/2017 season opens with Fly Me to the Moon on September 15th.
