Prince George, B.C.-  A woman has been killed at a road construction site in the north end of Prince George.

Around 6:15 this morning, police say a female flagger at the road construction project at  West Austin  Road, just west of Highway 97, was struck by a vehicle and suffered fatal injuries.

Police, WorkSafeBC and the Coroners Service are all on scene. A traffic analyst with the Prince George RCMP Traffic Unit is also there investigating the cause.

Austin Road West is closed  between Highway 97  and Madill Road.
