Monday, August 22, 2016 @ 8:57 AM

Prince George, B.C.-  While Prince George will be with   his parents, Prince William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge,  the royal family  won’t be stopping in Prince George during their  visit to  BC and the Yukon  next month.

The  Royals, ( including Princess Charlotte)  will  visit  Vancouver, VIctoria,  Bella Bella, Haida Gwaii and Kelowna   on the B.C. portion of their  visit.   The Yukon portion of the trip will see them make stops   in Whitehorse and Carcross.

The visit  is scheduled for September 24th to October 1st.

Probably read the news, afraid for their lives etc.

LOL… exactly, Royal Family staff probably did their homework and found out PG is now the third most dangerous city in Canada. Thinking about joining that Hell Yeah Prince George facebook group and shutting out the real world.

Crime isn’t stopping the Royals from visiting Victoria, which landed #4 most dangerous.

And yet they are stopping in Kelowna that ranks number 2 in crime. But don’t let that stop you from crapping all over your community.

Oh my…Bella Bella…they’re in for a surprise!
That reserve is tiny and in the middle of nowhere.

That’s good news they aren’t coming!!!. I don’t want pay to support the monarchy that is outdated and does absolutely nothing to help the common working family

Your tax dollars will be paying for it whether they come to Prince George or not.

Gee, for a moment I thought you were talking about Justin and Sophie!

Omg…they are not coming here… Oh wait, who cares?

    Exactly, who cares?

It appears that no one is surprised at this.
I know I am not

not much to see: scrubland logged off, angry drivers looking to kill someone, lost people pretending to be smarter and better, Go Faster. Buy a shiny Dodge pick-up truck ’cause then we will all know how cool you are when you drive fast and make a big noise. the hub of the North? not really. slow down. don’t let them get you down.

I think they will change their minds and STOP in — After all — IT’S
PRINCE GEORGE.

So we resent Royals because they are “Royal” because of birthright. But we also resent politicians because all they did is win a popularity contest. In some respects, the monarchy was a better system because “Royals” have been trained essentially from birth to rule, whereas politicians not so much.

What actually makes Justin Trudeau unique, is he is as close to Royalty as a Canadian politician could ever be. Don’t underestimate the value of his parentage/birthright in getting elected. And the guy learned from the master. I didn’t like PET, but I can’t deny the man was brilliant.

And while I disagree with lots of what Justin Trudeau is doing, I can’t help but admire his leadership skills, his knowledge of where Western Canada actually is, and his ability to play to the camera. I just hope that underneath it all, there is a man of substance, because whether you like him or not, he’s in charge for the next 3 years, and his success, is our success, and failures, our failures.

    Ski, I agree.
And since they’re coming to Canada, I am glad to hear they’re going to Bella Bella and the Yukon, nice holiday.
Doesn’t concern me at all to see them skip our town.

I do not see any connection to the Trudeau family at all – so the jealous comments are nothing but hot air! If Harper had used the decade of his rule better – in every way – no other party including the NDP would have replaced him and his party! Period.

“And while I disagree with lots of what Justin Trudeau is doing, I can’t help but admire his leadership skills, his knowledge of where Western Canada actually is, and his ability to play to the camera. I just hope that underneath it all, there is a man of substance,…”

Thank you for this great level headed comment, with which I wholehearted agree!

Judging by all the hoopla coming from those living in PG when the new prince was born, I’m sure the suicide rate will increase because of this news.

Not surprised the Royal Family opted to pass on the armpit of BC

    Where’s that? Abbotsford?

If I would feel the same way – armpit of B.C. – I would simply look for greener pastures! People can move! Nobody stops them!

Stating Trudeau is about as close to Royalty as a Canadian Politician could ever be is nothing more than hyperbole.

Has everyone forgotten the famous Michael Ignatieff. His paternal Grandfather was Count Pavel Ignatieff, Russian Minister of Education during WW1, and son of Count Nikolay Pavlovich Ignatev, Russian statesman and diplomat.

So there you have it. A Canadian politician much closer to Royalty than Trudeau could ever hope to be, and guess what? As a politician he was a disaster, we sent him packing.

Royalty is a hard sell at the best of times.
