Musicians Wanted for Rivers Day
Prince George, B.C. – Organizers of this month’s BC Rivers Day celebration at Cottonwood Island Park are looking for musicians.
Co-organizer Steve Hamilton of the Spruce City Wildlife Association says they’re looking for artists of all backgrounds.
“They don’t have to be experienced, they can be new, looking to build a name for themselves,” he says. “They can be experienced, any style, the more people we have showing up playing music the better because as they say, music brings people together.”
Hamilton asks those interested email him at stevehamiltonscwa@gmail.com.
“There’s going to be some good exposure there. There will be people from Spruce City, there’s going to be people from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, all our sponsors are going to be there. You never know who’s going to be in the crowd.”
He says organizers are also looking for a small portable PA system for all the public speakers they’ve lined up.
The event will take place Sunday, September 25 and run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
BC Rivers Day is returning after a four-year hiatus (it was previously known as the BC Rivers Day Music Festival) and will include live music, food, display booths, and children’s activities.
