PG Firefighters Launch Annual Boot Drive
Prince George, B.C. – Prince George Fire firefighters are doing what they can the next two days to help find a cure for muscular dystrophy (MD).
They are holding their annual ‘Fill the Boot Drive’ at several locations around town including all Save-On-Foods locations, Walmart, Pine Centre Mall, Canadian Tire and at Tim Horton’s in the Hart.

Firefighter and muscular dystrophy chair Ian Provan says the goal is simple.
“To raise as much money and awareness for MD as possible,” he says. “Prince George has been so generous. In B.C. we’re always in the top two or three fire departments. Last year we raised $25,000.”
Muscular dystrophy is a hereditary condition marked by the progressive weakening and wasting of muscles.
Firemen will be accepting donations at the above locations until 9 p.m. tonight and again from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. tomorrow.
