Prince George, B.C. – It’s turning into a rough ride for the UNBC Timberwolves men’s and women’s teams so far this young CIS soccer season.

The ladies dropped their sixth straight game in a 5-0 loss to Manitoba Sunday afternoon at North Central Cariboo Soccer fields.  Selina Speranza scored three goals, one in the opening half and two more in the last 45 minutes to lead the 1-1-0 Bisons to victory.  UNBC will face UBC Okanagan in Kelowna next weekend.

Meantime the UNBC men’s side lost 3-0 to the Thompson Rivers Wolfpack in Kamloops as Ryan Glanville of Williams Lake scored twice for the victors.  The Timberwolves had taken the opener of the weekend set 3-2.

UNBC now holds a 1 and 5 record and will host the Saskatchewan Huskies and Manitoba Bisons next weekend.
