Take Back the Night Walk Goes Tonight
Prince George, B.C. – The issue of violence against women will be front and centre in Prince George tonight.
The 24th annual Take Back the Night Walk returns after a one-year hiatus. Participants will meet at City Hall at 6:30 p.m. to listen to some speakers which will be followed up with a march starting at 7:00 p.m
The event is a women and children’s march only. Men are respectfully requested to provide their support at the event by assisting with the reception after the march.
Organizers says violence against women remains a disturbing issue noting over half of women in BC have experienced physical or sexual violence since the age of 16. That translates into more than one million women in our province.
They also note every year in BC there are over 60,000 physical or sexual assaults against women – almost all of them committed by men.

How can men not be allowed this day and age. If men had a gender specific cause I am sure there would be he’ll to pay from this group.
Then there is the question of violence between women, and violence against men by women? HelI don’t walk downtown by meself and I am male.
