Prince George, B.C. – A man charged in connection with a traffic fatality back in 2014 pleaded guilty to a charge of Driving Without Due Care and Attention in Prince George Provincial Court Monday.

35-year-old Shaun Raymond Bockus was formally charged in October, 2015.

This after he struck and killed 79-year-old Evagelia Kokkonis on Winnipeg Street and 10^th Avenue at around 5:00 p.m. December 16, 2014.

Provincial Crown Counsel approved the charge under the Motor Vehicle Act.

Police say the fatality occurred when it was dark out and visibility was poor.

A sentencing date has not been determined.
