Telus Service Restored

Thursday, September 22, 2016 @ 10:00 AM

Prince George, B.C. – Telus service has been fully restored in Prince George.

This after around 4,500 residential and business customers and several wireless sites in the region lost power yesterday morning. Power was brought back on at 1:30 a.m. this morning.

The telecommunications company say the outage was caused by a third-party road construction crew that accidentally cut through one of Telus’ underground cables.

Spokesman Richard Gilhooley says the length of the outage was due to the “extensive damage and challenging repair conditions requiring excavation.”

He says the company thanks its customers for their patience and understanding.
