Prince George, B.C.- During the month of May, customers at Costco in Prince George topped up their bill at the checkouts by making a donation to the Children’s Miracle Network Campaign, and they gave generously.
This morning, Costco management and staff were on hand presented the proceeds of that fundraising event to the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation. This year’s fundraising event was the best to date at the retailer, with nearly $85 thousand dollars donated.
The funds will go towards the purchase of a Panda Warmer for UHNBC. The Panda Warmer eases the transition for newborns into their new world. It also allows nurses to weigh, monitor and provide treatment to infants while keeping the little ones warm and comfortable. “Our smallest patients deserve the best start in life” was the feeling from both management and staff alike.
“We are once again thrilled with the hard work and dedication of all Prince George Costco staff for such tremendous results”, said Judy Neiser, CEO for Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation. “They work hard to promote the event and the generosity of their members shines through. We are very appreciative of everyone’s contribution and they should be very proud of an extremely well run campaign.”
