Looking forward to seeing Harkins and Gabrielle back to provide even more depth and scoring. It’s shaping up to be an awesome season.
GO CATS GO!!!!!!!
A deep roster, an excellent coach that seems to finally be making players accountable, and an ownership group that shows their class, savy, and genuine desire to please their fans every night will go a long way towards making CN Centre becoming the loudest barn in the league once again! It’s taken 3 plus years but you can see the trajectory that this team is on, and we all know why they were the laughing stock of the league for so long! The Brodskys didn’t destroy this franchise overnight, and the resurrection is not going to happen overnight either, but I have no doubt that the current owners will not rest until they are filling that barn every night!
I for one sure enjoy going to the games with a huge crowd on hand, far more than I enjoyed going to games with poor attendance! Line ups for popcorn are a lot longer now, but that’s a small price to pay for the electric atmosphere in the building, haha!
Oops, forgot to mention:
GO CATS GO!!
I have jumped on the cougar baND wagon this year…bought my first season ticket…the first 2 home games have not disappointed me at all…I am an old school dump and chase guy…these cougars are big strong and fast…can’t wait to walk by the line up come playoff time with my season ticket in hand….
This year should be the acid test. All things are in place to have a successful year.
1. New Owners.
2. Excellent Coach.
3. Top Notch Players
4. Leading the WHL with 6 Wins no losses.
5. Huge advertising budget.
6. Good contract with the City
7. New score clock.
8. Less travel
9. More week-end games
So there you have it. Everything that is needed for a successful year,.
Now lets see if the fans show up. I noticed that on Sundays game they got 2846 in attendance. Season ticket holders even if they are not at the game would be part of that count.
With all the problems over the years with management etc; my guess is that a lot of people have moved on to other things.
In any event we will see how it rolls out this year.
Would seem Trevor Sprague might be a lucky charm, just saying :-)
Great start Cougars, best ever.
The players are very pleased to have a new coach.Read between the lines. no pun intended
