Prince George, B.C. – The City of Prince George has announced the recipients of the Celebrate Prince George Community Grant.

The Prince George Folkfest Society has received $20,000 for their presentation of a “Kick Off to Coldsnap 2017” in Canada Games Plaza on February 3, 2017.

The following week the City says Coldsnap “will feature first-class artists presenting dances, concerts, and workshops at venues throughout the city.”

Downtown Prince George is the other grant recipient and will receive $7,000 to aid in their presentation of a “Downtown Winter Carnival” – a new event in town featuring winter fun and entertainment in the City’s downtown area.

The grant program is funded by both the City of Prince George and Tourism Prince George.

The goal is to help fund activities during the Celebrate PG Winter and Summer Festivals each February and July.
