Way Late Play Date for Adults
Prince George, B.C. – It’s a special night at the museum for those 19 to 30.
Saturday night ( tomorrow), it’s a Way Late Play Date that will let the “older ” set hang out and experience what Exploration Place has to offer.
“At the height of the Pokemon craze this summer, I noticed the park was full of young adults, looking for Pokémon, and I thought, wow, these folks could really use something to do” says Exploration Place CEO Tracy Calogheros.
So the wheels were put in motion to develop a night where those aged 19 to 30 could get together .
The museum staff have been busy coming up with activities for the evening, and have been developing a “blue martini” hence the reason why participants must be 19 or older. Snacks will be provided by the Oak Room Grill and there will be a DJ on site pumping out the tunes.
The Exploration Place is not the first museum to offer an evening like this, Calogheros says Science World has been offering a similar event. If the Way Late Play Date goes over well in Prince George, she says she hopes to offer the event every three months.
There is a cost of course, $20 for advance tickets, $25 at the door. No children allowed. Calogheros laughs as she explains why little ones aren’t invited to this event “There’s no chance of there being a 9 year old who knows more about dinosaurs than you do.”
Doors open at 7 pm.
