Cougars Snap Two Game Skid, Top Seattle in Shootout
Kent, WA – Kody McDonald scored in the fourth round of the shootout to lead the Prince George Cougars to a 3-2 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds in Kent Washington tonight.
The Cats overcame a two-goal deficit on route to the victory – their first after losing two to Everett at home earlier this week.
Jesse Gabrielle (his fourth) and Jansen Harkins (1st) had the other markers for Prince George.
Nolan Volcan and Sami Moilanen scored for Seattle. The teams had 25 shots a piece with Ty Edmonds picking up the victory.
With the win, the Cougars improved their record to 9-2, good for first place in the Western Conference.
The T-birds dropped to 2-3-0-1 with the loss. The Cougars conclude their two-game road trip tomorrow night in Tri-City against the Americans.
