Prince George, B.C. – The Canada Post office on Penn Road has been evacuated.
Tami Brushey, CUPW local 812 president, confirms about 10 employees were evacuated shortly before noon today.
“It was because of a parcel with a white powder substance on it and that kicked in our protocol.”
She says RCMP, Prince George Fire Rescue and BC Ambulance are all on scene. Brushey says a fireman wearing an oxygen tank and protective gear is currently inside the building.
250News will update the situation as soon as more information becomes available.
