Joe Kelly Memorial Run Goes Sunday

Saturday, October 22, 2016 @ 11:17 AM

Prince George, B.C. – The fourth annual Joe Kelly Memorial Run will be held Sunday at the Otway Nordic Centre.

The event is put on by the Prince George Road Runners in memory of long time and well-known runner Joe Kelly, who passed away in 2013. This event consists of group road or trail runs of 30 minutes, one hour and two hours, plus a half-hour family walk through the Otway ski trails. The Otway Nordic Centre Lodge is the start and finish point.
The various run lengths are time rather than distance events with all starting at the appropriate time to conclude at noon. So the two-hour starts at 10 am, the one-hour at 11 and the 30-minute and family trail walk both at 11:30 am. There is a lunch and socializing at the lodge once all participants have returned.
You can register on the Stride and Glide web site at www.strideandglide.ca/Events until 6 pm today or at the Otway Nordic Centre starting at 9 Sunday morning. There is a $5 charge for non-members of the Road Runners to cover food and insurance costs. Donations from this event will go to Right To Play Canada in Joe Kelly’s name.
