Prince George, B.C. – A two-vehicle collision has closed Highway 97 in both directions 10 km north of the Junction with Highway 39, south of Mackenzie.
North District Corporal Madonna Saunderson says it happened at around 9:45 this morning and involved a semi and a car. She says one person is being treated for injuries though the extent of those injuries are unknown at this time.
The cause of the collision hasn’t been released but it is currently snowing in the area (see previous story here).
Saunderson expects the highway will be reopened to single alternating traffic as crews work to clear the scene.
