Christmas Craft Market Opens Today
Prince George, B.C. – Time to scout out the numerous craft fairs which will be appearing around the city in the lead-up to Christmas.
The Handy Circle Resource Society is holding its Christmas Craft Market this weekend at the AIMHI gym at 950 Kerry Street. This event is a fundraiser for the organization which consists of people with disabilities supporting people with disabilities.
Organizer Lorraine Young also says “the reason I started this craft fair, I think this is our third year, is more like awareness for people with special needs that would like to do their own crafts, and they’re more than welcome to get a table at our craft fair.” Tables are available for $10 per day.
She says with 39 vendors lined up “it’s going pretty good, it’s fully booked anyway so this year is really good.”
Young says there will be a wide variety of craft items for sale including ink wildlife drawings, wood cravings, baked goods “with a lady on Sunday who is going to be making bread and pie”, jewelry and many other types of homemade items.
The Christmas Craft Market runs from 10 am to 4 pm today and Sunday.
