Prince George, B.C.- The Connaught Youth Centre in Prince George is home to a number of programs, and thanks to funding from the Provincial Government and the Northern Development Initiative Trust, those with mobility issues can take part in programs offered in the gymnasium.
The Province and NDIT each provided $30 thousand dollars to have a wheel chair lift installed at the CYC.
“The Connaught Youth Centre is an important facility for youth and family programs” said MLA Shirley Bond “The new lift will allow everyone to participate.”
NDIT CEO, Joel McKay says upgrades like this can help facilities attract more events “Which in turn create improved facilities, ongoing programming and quality of life for the entire community.”
