Fire on Grant Road Claims Life
Prince George, B.C.- One person has died as a result of injuries suffered in a fire on Grant Road in Prince George last ight.
Seventeen firefighters with Prince George Fire Rescue responded to the home in the 2500 block of Grant Road around 11 last night.
On arrival, crews found smoke coming the main portion of the trailer and a report of a possible occupant inside.
Crews quickly entered the home a found the lone occupant a short distance from the entrance door.
Medical care was quickly administered but the occupant succumbed to their injuries.
The fire was extinguished and crews did a secondary search and found no one else inside the home.
There were no injuries to any fire personal and crews remained on scene for approximately two hours looking for any hotspot or extensions.
The fire cause is believed to have been accidental. Damage has been estimated in the $100 thousand dollar range.
