Wilson Square Community Farmers Market Presents Winterfest 2016
Prince George, B.C. – The final craft event of the year in Prince George will have a winter theme.
‘Winterfest 2016’ has been organized the Wilson Square Community Farmers Market and will take place Saturday, December 17th from 10-4 at the Civic Centre.
“It’s looking great. Our tables are almost all sold-out,” says president Maria Pennock. “There’s going to be a concession, there’s a kids’ area where they can make all kinds of Christmas ornaments, decorations and cards and things. We have a fish pond; carollers are coming and we have some free giveaways.”
She’s expecting 120 crafters to be there offering a fine selection of items.
“The quality is going to be great. We have a lot of people that are from Wilson Square that we set up at Pine Centre this year who are returning for their last hurrah before Christmas,” says Pennock.
“So everything from pet supplies to candles to creams to food. It’s going to be huge. We’ve also got bakers and sewers and all kinds of interesting stuff going on.”
She says admission to the event is free.

That is nice of them and it sounds like FUN…
I find it very confusing that your group continues to call itself Wilson Square Farmers Market, when you no longer operate out of Wilson Square, but from Pine Centre. Your name identifies with a City Landmark but your market relocated last spring. Even your new Winterfest is located at the Civic Centre, not at Wilson square. Time to change your name and move on,
I see what you mean. We don’t want to confuse people. That’s why the Multiplex is called CN Centre, and the Coliseum is called Rolling Mix Concrete.
How about the PG Regional Hospital, Fort George Park and the PGEX?
Good points.
