Two Volunteer Fire Departments Up for New Gear

Prince George, B.C. – The regional District of Fraser Fort George has approved new equipment for the Pineview and Ness Lake Volunteer Fire Departments.The Pineview Volunteer Fire Department will be getting a new frontline engine valued at just over $400 thousand dollars. It will replace the existing engine which is nearly 20 years old.
The Ness Lake Volunteer Fire Department will be getting new frontline water tender apparatus which has a value of about $320 thousand dollars. The new water tender will replace the unit that has been in operation since 1998 and no longer meets the requirements of the Underwriters Laboratory of Canada and the Fire Underwriters Survey.
