Mounties Nab Stabbing Suspect

Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George RCMP has arrested the man they believe responsible for a stabbing in the city.
The incident occurred last Thursday on the 1500 block of Pearson Avenue. Police arrived on scene to find an adult male suffering from an apparent stab wound. The suspect had fled before officers arrived.
Cpl. Craig Douglass says an arrest warrant was issued for 35-year-old Prince George resident Kenneth Michael Wipfli.
The following charges were approved by Provincial Crown Counsel:
- Aggravated assault
- Assault with a weapon
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Two counts of fail to comply with probation
Just before 9 p.m. last night police located and arrested Wipfli at a residence on the 2500 block of Oak Street. Wipfli – who is well known to police – was held in custody overnight and will make his first court appearance today.
